Newly Wed and Engagement Photography in San Francisco
11/19/10 1:08 PM

I was so lucky to have a young couple from Malaysia who work in Singapore contact me for engagement photography.
They came to the states on business, and they decided to have their engagement photographs taken in San Francisco before returning home to the far east for their wedding.

We decided to use Bay Area landmarks as our backdrop as well as walls covered in graffiti.  In Singapore, there is no graffiti –it is VERY against the law to tag walls there… the couple was so excited to see all of the wonderful artwork.  So we took advantage of several incredible murals in one of San Francisco’s most famous neighborhoods, Haight-Ashbury, which is always full of color and characters!   Chin and Chi were thrilled –they LOVED the grit of the district, and I managed to capture their excitement.

Chi, the bride to be, purchased an inexpensive wedding gown to wear for the shoot, and because it was not precious to her, she was willing to jump around in the surf at Baker Beach, traipse around the city at the Palace of Fine Arts, and just plain, get DIRTY!   We had an absolute ball.

At the very end of the day, we were at the beach and the lights of the Golden Gate Bridge illuminated the skyline.  It was magical.   What a wonderful day –what a fabulous engagement photography session!!!
