Baby photography on Permanent Exhibit at Queen of the Valley Hospital, Napa CA

In October, I hung a collection of maternity and baby photographs in the Maternity Ward of Queen of the Valley Hospital in Napa, CA. This is a permanent collection of both pregnancy pictures, as well as several photographs from my Bebe Collection. The Bebe collection encompasses the first year of a child’s life from newborn, to 12 months.

Previously, the walls were quite stark in the department, but with the addition of fifteen, large-scale photographs, the walls have become a gallery, and for the people in the waiting room, it adds a wonderful feel and artistic point of view to the Halls of Labor and Delivery.

I have received lots of positive feedback from the patients and Queen of the Valley staff. It is amazing what a tremendous impact artwork can have in a space. I feel fortunate to be able to share my work in such a lovely part of my community –where babies are being brought into the world –-and what a gorgeous part of the world Napa Valley is!

Next time you are at Queen of the Valley, be sure to take a look at the walls of the Labor and Delivery Department. You are sure to smile!

Wedding Photography at Cline Cellars in Sonoma

I was fortunate to be chosen as the photographer for the very exclusive wedding of a couple from Philadelphia, at Cline Vineyards, and it was absolutely stunning.  The groom proposed in Paris, and they decided to have a Wine Country wedding with a French theme.  It was breathtaking.

Cline Cellars is a 350-acre estate at the southern tip of Sonoma County where the Mayacama Mountains are rich with vineyard properties and the sweeping views are grandiose.  Cline Cellars is fully landscaped with manicured lawns, rose and perennial gardens, as well as romantic weeping willows.  It is a spectacular location for a wedding –truly extraordinary.

The officiant is a Supreme Court Justice in Pennsylvania, and a friend of the family which was so meaningful.  And even though they were all far from home, the bride, groom, and the officiant embraced wine country wedding traditions such as the Wine Ceremony where two wines are blended in to one at the ceremony.  It is highly symbolic and a beautiful touch that has been a part of wine country tradition for years.

After cutting the cake, Jim, the groom, serenaded his bride in the barrel room where he played his guitar and sang.   What a talented man.  The acoustics in the room were amazing, and the ambiance in the barrel room was intimate and incredibly romantic.  There was not a dry eye in the house!  These are the moments that make a wedding memorable, and unique to the couple.  These are the moments I cherish as a photographer.

Thank you Jim and Kim, for allowing me to photograph your special day.  It was a truly exceptional experience!
