Hans Fahden - Jodi & Darius' Elopement Christophe Genty is a Wine Country Wedding Photographer who works through out both Sonoma and Napa Valleys. His studio is located in Napa where he is available for consultations.

I just finished shooting the most incredible elopement of all time. Jodi and Darius’s wedding day, was so well thought out… so beautifully executed. Each and every one of the Napa Valley locations we chose to take photographs, were nothing short of breathtaking.

Lavender inn, yountville - Jodi & Darius' Elopement

We started the day at the Lavender Inn, in Yountville, California. It is such a quaint, inn with a beautiful perennial garden in full bloom. Dare I say, it was the perfect location to photograph both the bride and groom as they were getting ready for their wedding.

Castle Di Amorosa - Jodi & Darius' Elopement

Then, we were off to Castello di Amorosa, a castle replica near Calistoga at the northern tip of Napa Valley. This castle was built by Dario Sattui of V. Sattui Winery. It took 14 years to build by old world craftsmen, and I must say, it is absolutely spectacular. Here, I shot Jodi and Darius’s first look photographs. They turned out lovely.

The wedding ceremony itself was at Hans Fahden with its striking wine caves, fantastic views of Mount St. Helena, incredible Monet-inspired gardens, meandering walking paths and shimmering koi ponds. In one word –GORGEOUS! Hans Fahden is, in effect, a photographer’s dream location for a wedding. Behind every turn, there is either a picture perfect vignette, or a stunning view.

French Laundry, Yountville - Jodi & Darius' Elopement

The final stop of the day was the world-renown French Laundry where the young couple had reserved a private dining room for their exclusive reception. What a spectacular way to end the most romantic of days. There was no detail left undone for this couple’s incredible, Wine Country elopement. Congratulations, Jodi and Darius! I hope your marriage reflects the beauty of your wedding day.

Springtime Pregnancy Photography in Napa Valley

Annabel & Chick - Pregnancy photography in Napa Valley The air is warm, apple trees are in full bloom, my cat just had her kittens, we have new chicks in the coop, and it is the perfect time to take pregnancy photographs in Napa Valley! This past weekend I was privileged to photograph Annabel, one of my former brides, in her pregnancy glory. It was a gorgeous day, and we had so much fun in the hills behind my studio, playing with chicks, and posing with blossoms. The resulting maternity pictures are gorgeous, and she is thrilled.

I can’t wait to take the baby’s newborn photographs in a couple of months. It is such an incredible feeling to have relationships that last with my clients from engagement photos, to their wedding day, to pregnancy, newborn, and baby and family photography. Documenting the love a couple has together, then photographing their growing family… well, let’s just say: I definitely have the best job in the world!
